A Peek Inside Colette’s Dreamy Whimsical Nursery (And Why This Room Makes My Mama Heart So Happy)

Published:

Okay, I know I’ve been teasing the full house reveal for what feels like forever (we’re getting there, I promise!), but there’s one space that’s just too special not to share right now—our baby girl’s nursery!

When Serena & Lily reached out about collaborating on Colette’s room, I may or may not have squealed out loud. If you know their style, you know it’s all about that perfect mix of playful charm and cozy sophistication—basically exactly what I wanted for our littlest love’s first space.

The Vision: Whimsy Meets Warmth

From the start, I knew I wanted this room to feel:
Magical (but not theme-y)
Soft (all the textures for tiny hands)
Timeless (something that could grow with her)

We landed on this dreamy palette of creamy whites, soft blush pinks, and the most delicate sage green accents. The vibe? Like if a fairy tale and a cozy English cottage had a baby.

The Can’t-Live-Without Pieces

  1. The Showstopper Crib
The moment I saw Serena & Lily’s Riviera crib, I knew it was the one. The curved canopy frame gives it such a storybook feel, and the crisp white finish keeps it feeling fresh. (Also, pro mom tip: It converts to a toddler bed, so we’ll get years of use!)
  2. The Rocker That’s Seen All the Tears (Mine Included)
Every nursery needs that one perfect spot for those 3 AM feeds and endless rocking sessions. We went with their cushy, sink-into-it Gwyneth rocking chair in the softest linen blend. It’s where I’ve spent countless hours staring at Colette’s sleepy face, wondering how I got so lucky.
  3. The Dresser That Does It All
Changing table? Check. Storage for a million tiny onesies? Check. Future big-girl dresser? Double check. The Marlow dresser is as functional as it is beautiful, with these sweet little bun feet and smooth-as-butter drawers.

The Whimsical Touches That Make It Special

  • A Mobile That Sparkles
The handcrafted brass and linen mobile catches the light so beautifully during her afternoon naps.
  • Wallpaper That Tells a Story
We did one accent wall in the most delicate floral print—just enough pattern to feel special without being overwhelming.
  • The Coziest Rug
Because every nursery needs a cloud-soft spot for tummy time and future tea parties.

Why This Room Means So Much

More than just a pretty space (though it is definitely that), this room represents so many dreams coming true. It’s where I rock Colette to sleep after long days, where Chloe comes in to “read” her sister books (usually held upside down), and where our family feels whole.

I’ll share more of the house soon, but for now, I just had to give you this little peek into one of my favorite corners of our world. What do you think? Would your little one love a room like this?

P.S. For anyone curious, I’ve linked all the sources over on my blog—because trust me, you’re going to want that rocking chair in your life.
